On this Memorial Day

Every last Monday in May we remember our fallen heroes, our soldiers who died in the service of this great Nation.

It has been said, that this noble tradition began unofficially during the Civil War, but was officially proclaimed on May 5th, 1868 by General Juan Logan, national commander of the Grand Army of the Republic, in his general order No.11, and was first observed on May 30, 1868, when flowers were placed in the graves of Union and Confederate soldiers at Arlington National Cemetery.

A day doesn’t seem like enough to remember our fallen soldiers, who made the ultimate sacrifice to protect our freedom. Lets remember them everyday.
